ADI Making of… Vi
The upcoming session in the ADI Making of… series will focus on wine as a living process, open to interpretation through the lens of design.
Several speakers will offer different perspectives on its journey, from tradition to contemporary experimentation:

Salvador Garcia-Arbós, with “Història galàctica del porró”
Joan Carles Llach, exploring the links between ceramics, winemaking and tradition
Joan Asens and Martí Guixé, presenting the project N=1. Radical Coupage Theory Vins

This last project was a collaboration between designer Martí Guixé and oenologist Joan Asens (Orto Vins), developed within the framework of Terra, Teca, Traca, a program of artistic residencies in which Addend participated. The residency took place in La Morera de Montsant and was part of the broader initiative Barcelona, the World Capital of Sustainable Food 2021.
N=1. Radical Coupage Theory Vins took shape through a series of residencies, lectures, a masterclass and an exhibition at La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, culminating in the publication of the book …i Vi!, presented in January 2023 at Galeria H2O Barcelona. The book documents the creation of an experimental wine and offers a critical reappraisal of the porró—a traditional Catalan wine-drinking artifact—by applying design principles and exploring its formal decontextualization.

The event offers an opportunity to reflect on the intersections of design, territory and material culture through the lens of wine as well as to try the Porró de Selfie (Design Martí Guixé, 2021) with the wines of Orto vins.
