Camper Italy 22 New Stores: Camperization as a Method
The project consisted of the reactivation of 22 commercial spaces now operated by the Camper franchise partner Asak & Co. SPA, previously occupied by another footwear brand. Far from proposing a tabula rasa, the project assumes the existing architecture as both condition and working material.
The intervention is defined by minimal action and maximum effectiveness. It is about the concept of "camperization" not as a style, but as a strategy: insert what is necessary, keep what is possible, do without what is superfluous, disorder to balance, reposition.
The project proposes an economy and ecology of means that is also an economy of time, of resources, and of gesture. Each store becomes a variable of the same algorithm, where differences are not denied but rather refined.
More than building, it is about modulating. More than designing, it is about occupying intelligently. The store as an open system, as an inherited infrastructure reprogrammed through proximity and decision.
